Imam Abu Ja^far at–Tahawiy clearly states that this is the creed of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama^ah, plainly expressed by the terminology used by the great three Imams, namely Imam Abu Hanifah, Qadi Abu Yusuf, and Imam Muhammad bin al-Hasan, may Allah accept their deeds and raise their ranks. The context is that this is the Madhhab (Jurisdential Doctrine) of all the people of truth, Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama^ah, without any exception.  Al-^Aqidah at–Tahawiyyah is such a unifying summary of the creed, free of controversy, and endorsed by the reputable scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah. His explanation of the creed is a beacon of certainty in the darkness of doubt and ambiguity, and it provides seekers of knowledge with a set of simple yet sound creedal statements by which to live, die, and be judged as a believer by their Lord.
